Jeremiah 29:11

This is a promise of the Lord to his children.  A very hopeful promise.

When someone has a plan, it refers to the future.  The successful companies can have a 5-year plan or a 10-year plan. These plans direct companies to a certain profitability goal. They plot the steps to be taken that they believe will lead them to a successful future.  These steps lead to a path towards a better future.

God has a plan for us.  He has planned for us to be prosperous.  He did not plan for us to get hurt or harm us.  Prosperity not in just your wealth and finances, but also in your health, school, work, family and relationships.

If we are suffering right now, He didn’t wish for us to suffer.  As it said, He does not want to harm us but rather plans to prosper us.  Plans do not always play out the way we wanted it to be.  A person could have planned to be a doctor or a lawyer but he could have been distracted and didn’t become one.  Deviation from a plan is a natural occurrence.  A change in a plan could have beneficial or harmful effects. What does not change is the goal.  People might change plans, deviate from it, or take a wrong turn.  Reaching the goal, in this case, might take longer.  As long as you correct your path, reaching the goal to a successful future is there, waiting to be claimed.

Obedience to His commands leads us to the path of righteousness. The path to reach the ultimate goal, to be with the presence of the Lord, in eternal life.
